Palliative care and hospice care both offer an enhanced quality of life when you’re facing a chronic illness. With palliative care, you can continue receiving treatment while also getting extra care and support. Hospice care provides comfort and support if you choose to focus on quality of life and stop additional treatment for your illness.
You may be admitted to hospice if your primary care provider diagnoses you with a life expectancy of six months or less. If you think hospice care might be right for you, but you have not received a diagnosis, you can still reach out to our team. We will work with you and your care provider to determine the best care for you.
When admitted to hospice care, you are initially certified for six months. However, you can continue to receive hospice care as long as you still meet the requirements as determined by Medicare.
Vivie Hospice helps you live well wherever you call home. You can receive hospice care in your residential home, assisted living community, or other skilled nursing facility.
