When Kylie Schauff first joined Vivie, she quickly realized there were opportunities to keep learning and growing. What began as an entry-level caregiving role evolved into a career shaped by education, hands-on experience, and support from those around her.
“I was really excited when I started at Vivie because I realized there were a lot of different opportunities for growth, which is something that meant a lot to me,” Kylie shared.
Starting as a care attendant, Kylie went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with support from Vivie’s foundation scholarship program. Later, she completed her Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certification, also with scholarship assistance. Each new role gave her opportunities to expand her skills and better serve residents and care teams.
“I’ve really been fortunate to always find a new growth opportunity as the years went by,” she said.
Growing through experience.
After working as a CNA for several years, Kylie stepped into a restorative aide role, helping residents with exercises, mobility, and daily activity. She later moved into scheduling, where she now helps ensure care teams have the support they need each day.
Throughout her journey, Kylie says the support of her team has made a lasting difference.
“My experience working for Vivie has been that it’s a safe community for me to come and learn and grow,” she said.
Investing in people.
For Kylie, scholarship support helped create opportunities that may not have otherwise been possible. Just as important, she says, was knowing that others believed in her potential.
“They really want you to grow and learn and try new things,” Kylie said.
