In Nelson Gables’ home-like environment, residents will receive three meals a day plus snacks, weekly housekeeping and laundry, access to a wellness center, salon and barbershop, life-enrichment activities, spiritual experiences, and more—all within a welcoming environment.

What is enhanced assisted living?

Enhanced assisted living is a great choice when you need a little more physical assistance with activities of daily living—like dressing, bathing, transfers, or mobility. Packages include 24/7 emergency support, daily bed-making, personalized care, and options for two-person or mechanical lift assistance. Enhanced assisted living can be a wonderful option to maintain as much freedom and flexibility in your day as possible, even as certain tasks become more challenging.

Does Nelson Gables offer short-term or respite care stays?

Yes. Based on availability, Nelson Gables can provide respite care for individuals recovering from illness or surgery, or for those whose caregivers need a temporary break. Respite stays include a furnished apartment, 24/7 care, meals, medication management, laundry, and engagement in life-enrichment programs. (Minimum 7-day stay).

What are the options for medication management?

Nelson Gables offers four medication packages, ranging from simple oversight to full administration up to five times per day. When it comes to you or your loved one’s medications, we provide peace of mind with everything you need. You will love that we can coordinate and participate in on-site provider visits, transcribe medication orders, and contact your pharmacy for you.

Your home and everyday essentials

Complete groundskeeping, including lawn care and snow removal.
Apartment and building maintenance.
Utilities, including heat, electricity, central air conditioning, water, sewer, and garbage.
Public Wi-Fi, basic cable TV, and phone line.
Easy access to all on-site amenities.

Assisted living support

Daily apartment refresh. Light tidying each day, including bed-making, trash removal, and opening curtains.  
Weekly light housekeeping. Routine cleaning to help keep your apartment comfortable and welcoming.  
Weekly laundry and linen service. One load of personal clothing and one load of bed linens and towels each week.  
Ongoing nursing support. Initial and ongoing nursing assessments help us understand your needs and ensure your care plan continues to provide the right level of support.  
Emergency response system. Access to an emergency response system, such as a pendant or pull cord, based on individual needs.  
Personalized bathing support. Bathing or shower assistance based on your individual needs and nursing assessment.
