On a clear, mild morning at Lake Harriet, we laced up for something more than a race. We showed up for connection. For wellness. For joy. And to celebrate 20 years of walking, running, and rallying together in support of life-enriching programs through the Vivie Foundation.
Held June 7 at the iconic Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis, the 20th Annual Vivie 5K/10K Walk & Run brought together 114 in-person participants—alongside others who joined virtually.
The setting was picture-perfect: a still lake, a tree-lined course, and a community united for a meaningful cause. It was a day that reminded us just how much good we can do when we move forward—together.
Whether you were a first-time walker, a seasoned 10K runner, or part of our virtual crew, your participation helped raise support for programs that make a real impact in the lives of the people we serve. Proceeds from this year’s event help fund:
These initiatives aren’t just nice-to-haves. They’re essential to the well-being of the older adults and families we support—helping them thrive in every season of life.
We’re deeply grateful to every individual who helped make this year’s event a success. That includes the participants who showed up with purpose, the volunteers who greeted and guided with heart, and our event partner, Anderson Race Management, for handling logistics with care and excellence.
And of course, we couldn’t have done it without our generous sponsors. Their support fuels more than an event—it fuels transformation in communities across the region.
Your sponsorship helped every mile mean more.
This milestone year was more than a run—it was a reminder of the strength found in community, the joy in movement, and the power of shared purpose. However you took part, you helped move our mission forward.
Thank you for showing up, cheering each other on, and making 20 years of the Vivie 5K/10K Walk & Run one to remember.
